Recap May 12th Knitting & Crochet Meetup: Welcome newcomers Anna, Dotty and Virginia! Ginger donated a bunch of yarn from her stash before she packs her moving boxes. Thanks. Denise gave a wonderful demonstration on fabric blanket edging using a blanket stitch with needle & yarn, or crocheting an edge. Really cute way to make a lovey or blanket. Thank you. Gayle stopped in before her haircut to say 'Hi' and 'Bye' and had magazines and fruit cups for a Hospice Veterans donation. Thank you. Yolande is crocheting a multi-colored neon blanket, donated some no-longer-needed crocheted items that will be washed and donated, and shared patterns. Thanks. Kaitlan is hand sewing an awesome hexagon quilt top. Newcomer Anna is learning to knit. Newcomer Virginia used Ginger's stash and is knitting a scarf. Newcomer Dotty needed help crocheting a heart blanket edge and received it from Glenda and Hannelore. Glenda is crocheting her Mart Spirit Blanket. :-) Hannelore had several baby cradle blankets to donate and is working on more. Thank you. Sylvia is frogging a little section of her gorgeous cabled cardigan and redoing it. Ruth is knitting a Mistake Scarf. Laura is knitting a DuoTone Cowl. Jessica is knitting super cute Knitty's Double Heelix socks using purple and lime Knit Picks sock yarn. Lauren is finishing her fantastic wool/nylon socks, is knitting a Baby Surprise Jacket, and a commission owl sweater. Rebecca had 4 terrific hats for donation to Local Newborns and Friends for Life and is knitting more. Thanks! Joyce is crochet a diaper cover for her new grandson's arrival and soon will be crocheting blanket edgings. Nancy is knitting a handsome green scarf for donation. Appreciate all you do for others!
