STORY: Waco Knitter Hannelore's grandbaby Felix was born 7-17-2014 at Providence and when the nurse came in with a knit baby cap for him, out of the 850 hats we've donated this year, the one Felix received was one Hannelore had made!!!!! Hannelore had several nurses make it a point to say how much the baby hats are cherished that some of us handcraft and donate to the newborns. Thank you - you are appreciated!

Knitting (and Crochet) Circle is this Thursday July 24th at West Waco Library & Genealogy Center (5301 Bosque) 5pm - 7 pm in Conference Room (back left). All welcome. Reminder: Start putting aside no-longer-needed yarns, notions, unfinished projects, unwanted finished objects, pattern books, etc for our Yarn Swap at Aug 12th Knitting Circle in 3 weeks. At our July 8th we held an (optional) Mug Rug Swap which was enjoyed by all. We have some seriously talented Mug Rug Creators! On July 1st, 113 baby hats, blankets and booties were delivered to Providence Hospital for Waco Newborns from Waco Knitters & Friends bringing the year-to-date total to 850 items.
